Welcome to the Time of the Red, Choomba! The Megacorporations spent decades wrecking everything and in the aftermath of their last War, everyone has to fend for themselves.

But that’s just fine. You can handle it. After all, in a world of vicious boostergangs, rampaging cyborgs, corporate assassins, and nihilistic doomsday cults, there’s only one rule: Always take it to the Edge.

Take the big risks, get the big rewards. Be the action, start the rebellion, light the fire. Never drive slow when you can blaze a trail.

You’ve hooked your Militech pistol to the interface in your brain; upgraded your cybernetic fist with carbo-glas blades; and installed cybereyes that can pierce through the red haze like morning fog. There’s a world full of opportunities out there, just waiting for the right Edgerunner. Maybe that’s you.

Released by R. Talsorian Games inc. in 1990.

This is a revision of Cyberpunk 2013 with a majority of the rules staying the same. The one major revision was the removal of the active defense opposed roll against ranged attacks, while keeping it for melee attacks and net combat as well as use of non-combat skills against other characters, e.g. sneaking past someone or seducing someone. All of these are resolved by rolling one D10 and adding the values of your appropriate Stat and Skill as well as any applicable modifiers and checking it against either a target number or another character's opposed roll. Another change is that while a draw still results in a win for the defending character in opposed skill checks, it now results in a win for the offending character in combat. Damage is usually dealt with nD6, but in some cases with nD10 instead.

There may have been some slight overlap with a few of the supplements at the tail end of 2013, but the rule similarities made them 'usable' until new supplements were made for the 2020 system.
